Snorkel up close with the sharks and Hawaiian reef fish that call Sea Life Park home during this educational experience guided by a member of our animal care team. This in-water encounter offers a once in a lifetime chance and unmatched views of the native whitetip reef sharks.
All encounter programs also include FREE one day admission to Sea Life Park.
What is the age requirement for the Shark Snorkel?
Visitors of any age are welcome at Sea Life Park. Guests participating in the Shark Snorkel must be 4 or older, and any guest between the ages of 4 and 7 must be accompanied by paying adult who also is participating in the Shark Snorkel.
What happens if my party and I are running late for our encounter time?
We ask that all participants arrive to Sea Life Park at least one hour prior to their encounter start time. If you are running late, please call us at: (808) 259-2500. We will be happy to re-book you and your party for the next available encounter time. Please note that refunds are not provided for missing your encounter time.
What is included with the Shark Snorkel?
The Shark Snorkel includes admission to Sea Life Park and a 20-minute educational encounter experience in the Hawaiian Reef Lagoon led by our world-class animal care team. Please note that a life vest will be provided from our team and must be worn by all encounter participants.
How long is the Shark Snorkel experience?
The encounter is 20 minutes long. All guests should arrive one hour prior to the start time of their reserved slot. Failure to arrive at least one hour early will result in cancelation of your encounter booking, refunds will not be provided.
What should I wear to the park on the day of my encounter?
Guests should bring their own swimsuits, water shoes or rubber pool shoes (if desired), and dry clothes. Please note that for the safety of the animals, visitors may no wear jewelry of any kind into the Hawaiian Reef Lagoon.
What do I do if I need to cancel my encounter?
Cancellations can be made by calling the reservation desk at (808) 259-2500 48 hours in advance of your encounter start time. If cancellations are made less than 48 hours prior, or your party is a "no show", you will be charged for your encounter.
Are there any restrictions for expectant mothers?
We do not place restrictions for expectant mothers; the decision is left up to each individual.
Will I need to sign any waivers?
All participants or their legal guardians are required to sign a release of liability and waiver form before participating.
